Introducing the Career Development working group
We have set up a new working group: Career Development. The aim of this working group is to create more insight into career paths and opportunities for UG young support professionals. The working group also aims to promote inter-faculty exchange of vertical and horizontal career options and professional development.
Practical tools
-
As part of this effort, we’ve already set up additional courses in English such as the Career orientation course for professional staff, together with HR colleagues, and the Language Buddy Programme.
-
We are in the process of creating a new UFO profile tool to support career planning and switching. The UFO profile tool will provide insights into career trajectories by showing the paths others have taken with similar job titles (within the UG). It will also help identify potential UG job titles that align with your current competencies.
-
To provide a more structured overview of the personal and career development opportunities available at UG, we have partnered with HR to delineate a development path for young professionals. This will serve as a comprehensive guide to support your growth within the UG. More information on this initiative will be available soon!
