Putting on weight because of antipsychotics

26 March 2014

Using antipsychotics for extended periods of time often leads to weight gain. Do the pros outweigh the cons? This was one of the questions the University of Groningen received as part of the ‘400 Days for 400 Questions’ project which is part of the University’s 400th anniversary celebrations. The Medicine and Public Health Science Shop put the question to a number of Pharmacy students who were participating in the pharmacy game that the University has developed: Gimmics. The future pharmacists came up with an answer.

The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
