Ageing healthily and living independently for as long as possible: that's what everyone wants. Aided by smart technology, this is definitely possible. Tomorrow’s Home, which combines living, care and smart technology, already exists. It can be seen at the Let’s Gro Inspirational Festival to be held in Groningen. Have researchers, entrepreneurs and policymakers really evaluated the needs of the ageing population? Hans Wortmann, professor of Information Management at the University of Groningen, goes in search of answers.
