We are the University of North

Hanzehogeschool, Van Hall Larenstein and NHL Stenden, all of them Universities of Applied Sciences, and the University of Groningen - united in the #UniversityoftheNorth - want to achieve a number of goals in the coming years with financial support from the Dutch government. We focus on three themes: energy transition with an emphasis on hydrogen / clean chemistry, public health and digitization. A contribution of € 120 million in total is requested by the institutions.

The Northern Netherlands is the area in which academic education, higher and secondary vocational education work together intensively. Together with the business community and civil society, we want to fully utilize and increase the economic strength of the North.
