ENLIGHT Guide to Inclusive and Accessible Activities
ENLIGHT is committed to organizing inclusive and accessible events, in line with European and United Nations policies on equality and social inclusion. As an ENLIGHT university, the UG shares this commitment and recommend this guide to support event organizers in ensuring a fair and supportive experience for all participants.

Inclusive Language Style Guide
This style guide provides explanations, tips and tricks on using inclusive language at the University: from the classroom and academic writing to HR and support systems. It covers gender-aware language use, identity-based language, language surrounding ability and disability, and background, nationality, ethnicity and migration. 'False friends' between Dutch and English are also covered, as well as pronoun use in the two languages.

The UG recruitment guide lays out principles for open, transparent, and merit-based recruitment and selection.

Working with distance to the labor market
A participation job, also called an appointment job, is performed by an employee who is included in the target group register (UWV). The target group register consists of people with a distance to the labor market, for example due to an illness or disability. A diverse group that wants to and can work but sometimes needs support to keep up in the labor market.
Words Matter is a publication by the National Museum of World Cultures, featuring a word list that explores the impact of language in the museum world. It offers insights and alternatives for words with political and social connotations, helping make informed choices in communication and documentation. This publication is relevant not only for museums but also for the education sector.
