The UI GreenMetric ranking was set up by Universitas Indonesia to draw attention to sustainability in university policies and activities. The universities are assessed and ranked by comparing numerical data.

In 2022, the UG also ranked fourth place, with 9160 points. Since 2021, the UG has been in the top five of the ranking. In 2018, 2019 and 2020 the university was in the top ten. The fact that the UG is increasingly committed to sustainability is reflected in the ranking.

Sustainability at the UG

Sustainability is one of the core values of the University of Groningen. This means that the UG wants to integrate sustainable development into all facets of the university.
