New audio tour on biodiversity on the Zernike Campus
22 May is International Biodiversity Day. Biodiversity is important, but is under great stress. People often don't appreciate what they don't see. To give more attention to this theme, a new audio route has now been realized on the Zernike Campus. The route takes you along five different information boards in about 25 minutes, and tells you about the past, present and future of nature on the Zernike site.
The starting point of the audio route can be found at the platforms next to the Duisenberg pond (see map below). You follow the route by scanning the QR codes on the signs with your phone. Don't forget your headphones!
Biodiversity at the UG
The UG is working on an ecologically valuable Zernike campus and inner city locations. To achieve this, the grounds and gardens of the UG are managed differently, for example by mowing less and creating natural banks to create more space for insects and a diversity in vegetation.
