UG rises to place 75 in THE rankings

The UG ranks #75 in the Times Higher Education rankings 2023. This was announced today. This places the UG five places higher than 2022 and 2021, when the university reached the 80th place.
Of all Dutch universities, the UG ranks fifth. In the past two years this was in seventh place. Especially on the Subjects International Outlook (from place 186 to 110) and Teaching (from place 178 to 155) the university scores well. The Subject rankings will be announced at a later date.
About the THE rankings
The British magazine Times Higher Education publishes a yearly ranking of universities throughout the world. In addition to its achievements in the areas of teaching and research, the University’s international reputation plays a part in determining its ranking. This ranking uses a weighting of 38.5% for Scopus data (citations [30%], productivity [6%] and international cooperation [2.5%]), 33% for reputation and 28.5% for self-reported figures (numbers of staff, students and PhDs awarded [17.5%] and income [11%]).
