Seven Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships granted
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships (former Individual Fellowships under H2020) is a European funding scheme aimed at promoting researchers’ mobility. It provides funding for 2-year postdoctoral fellowships for researchers of any age, nationality and discipline.
The University of Groningen has an excellent track record in this funding scheme, with an average success rate doubling on many occasions the European one. As a result of the 2021 call, the first one under Horizon Europe, seven researchers have been selected by the European Commission to come to Groningen as postdoctoral fellows to develop their research projects with their UG supervisors: Franco Della-Felice (Gerard Roelfes), Yohan Gisbert (Ben Feringa), Robert Hein (Ben Feringa), Timo Keller (Steffen Muller), Maria Angela Raj (Reynier Peletier), Gaurav Vats (Beatriz Noheda), Zuzana Zilincikova (Clara Mulder).
The goal of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF) is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of researchers holding a PhD, wishing to acquire new skills through advanced training, international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral mobility. It is also interesting for senior researchers aiming at attracting promising fellows from all over the world, thus expanding their research capacity as well as building on their international network.
If you're interested in developing a PF in the UG but you have not identified your supervisor yet or if you are a PI that would like to attract postdoctoral researchers to your team, we can assist you with this. You are kindly requested to fill in the respective online template (Template for PF fellows; Template for supervisors) before the 15th April.
The University of Groningen has an excellent track record in this funding scheme, with an average success rate doubling on many occasions the European one. It is expected that the next round for proposals will be published in May 2022 and the deadline will be in September 2022. The UG will organize an online training for applicants and supervisors.
If you need further information, please contact your Faculty Funding Officer (login needed) and Gema Ocana.
